How HSI works for you

Relying on regular cameras or the human eye to spot anomalies or differences in materials exposes you to error. Regular cameras show a single colour for each pixel. Whereas hyperspectral imaging (HSI), or imaging spectroscopy, collects data from hundreds of adjacent light bands for each pixel. HySpex: powerful tools

A leader in the hyperspectral imaging field, HySpex cameras are powerful tools used in industrial sorting, laboratory analysis, clinical diagnosis and agricultural monitoring. While this technology has been around for a while, it’s now more portable and accessible than ever. Performance is increasing; prices are on the way down. As a result, there’s been an uptake of HSI in manufacturing and processing. We’ve also seen pioneering results in Defence and Agricultural applications.

Easily identify differences in materials

In addition to a HySpex camera, Raymax can assist you with custom software from Prediktera. While the camera takes the image, it’s the software that processes that image. In other words, this is what allows your equipment to determine the difference between 2 substances in real-time. Airborne or ground-based

The compact nature of these cameras makes them ideal for airborne use. The HySpex camera collects data suitable for agricultural and geological surveying, for example. This data can help farmers make decisions that improve the output and quality of their crops. You can also install them in a factory or laboratory or mount them on a tripod and rotation stage for field applications. The cameras themselves are compact, robust, high-performance and versatile instruments.

Non-invasive food inspection

There are many challenges when it comes to traditional food inspection processes. Some foods deteriorate during handling and storage. Large production volumes also need to be considered.
